Concours
Everyone loves showing off their car and Hurricane Region concours events are the way to do it. The region has two regularly-scheduled shine and show car shows each year - the Spring Charity Concours, which rotates annually between Leith Porsche and Porsche of Southpoint, and our annual Oktoberfest, held each fall at Montague’s Picnic Grounds in Cary. These are both don’t miss days, featuring a wide variety of entrants and car classes. And both events are philanthropic, with the spring show benefiting Duke Childrens’ Hospital and OktoberFest benefiting a rotating group of local charities including Wake County Guardian Ad Litem, Children’s Alopecia Project, Hope Reins and the Fisher House at Fort Bragg.
And here’s an important note: Our concours program is not a white glove thing. We don’t follow national concours norms and rules. These are more informal car shows, with people’s choice voting determining winners. So don’t be bashful, shine your car and sign up for the show! New to Hurricane Region? Volunteering at these events is a great way to get to know a wide variety of people and have a role in all the fun! |
